Name of Assignment: PROYECTO de Decoración Cultural
Subject: Spanish
Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. Cogliandro
This assignment we created a poster placed on the walls of our class room. We covered topics about specific countries that spoke Spanish; things like their climate, geography, culture, cuisine, and wellbeing. All of this went on our poster and we placed it on the wall.
When doing this project I used global awareness skills. The information on the poster wasn't about The United States, but insteads Spain. Learning about Spain was when I used these skills to learn about their motivations and cultures.
From this project, I am most proud of the ability to translate words from English into Spanish and from Spanish into English. All of the words that were on the poster were supposed to be in Spanish and I worked very hard to make sure that we made that requirement.
I developed my global awareness skills by learning about the different actions, cultures, and motivations of the Spain. Researching these topics gave me a better picture of what life is like elsewhere in the globe. An important part of their culture is dancing and socializing. They do it even more than some people in the US.
The most challenging part of this task was collaboration with other members of my group. We had some issues with finding out who would present each topic, but it was all sorted out in the end and we were able confidently decide which of the group members would present each topic.
If were able to redo this project today, I would definitely try to add more pictures or drawing to the poster. I think that poster with only words look ugly, if I redid the poster I would definitely make some more pictures to go on the posters
This project was really similar to a project I did in 7th grade where I present a slideshow about a country in Latin America. I chose Ecuador for this project, but Spain and Ecuador do have many things in common like the language spoken in each country.

Applying this to future learning will most likely happen if I need to do a follow up to this project which could possibly happen. I think that using what I have already learned I could do a better report about Spain.
