Name of Assignment: Logo Graphic Design
Subject: Math
Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. Marsh
This assignment we created a drawing or image using at least 3 line segments, 2 lines, 3 rays, 1 instance of perpendicularity, 2 acute angles, 2 obtuse angles, 2 right angles, 2 straight angles, 1 instance of parallelism, a bisected line segment, and an angle being bisected.
When doing this project I used thinking and problem solving skills. Meeting the requirements of the project was a interesting challenge. I had to think hard about how to create my name for the logo. Doing so, I created several drafts and failed a lot; eventually though I figured out how to meet the requirements.
From this project, I am most proud of my ability to use google drawings to finish my project, I didn’t really know how to use google drawings before I did this project, but now I am a lot better at using the software. I learned a lot of new things using the shapes and lines tool, things like holding shift while creating them allow you to change the dimensions of their shape in fixed values.
The most difficult part about this task was figuring out how to make the logo, out of the many drafts that I created I figured that this was the best one. Most of the letters were understandable and I was able to meet the requirements.

If were able to redo this project today, I would try to eliminate the mistakes that I made with the inexperience in the software. I created many uneven lines and points that were not connected in the right areas. Errors that I made when trying to do things create a huge waste of time and sometimes I would just start over when making the letter. Knowing how to actually use the software would have improved my ability to save time.
This project did share some similar things to when I was in elementary school. I learned many new things about geometry then. The things I remembered were right angles, obtuse angles, acute angles, straight angles, parallelism, and perpendicularity. All of the things I was familiar were used in this project.
Applying this to future learning will be pretty difficult because geometry is not something that you do every single day. I may use it in the knowledge in the new engineering room, I will probably end up creating a right or acute angle inside of the classroom for a project. I could also probably use the concepts of angles I learned from this assignment in a future math class.
